What's Your Story? My Story started here as a photographer ......

One of the essential things that I have learnt a photographer needs is a support structure. Friends who will pay for a service when all they know is what they have seen on the LCD of his camera.

There is nothing that beats the energy you see in your subjects eyes when you are taking a portrait. When you suddenly realise you've be entrusted with capturing that moment.

Taking control of the photo shoot is not easy because you sound like you're on something when you tell them to smile and they are smiling.....

Some members will not be in all the shoots, Always remember to tell them how beautiful they look.

Loadshedding

I am just thinking out loud to myself. How are my kids going to explain this to their grand children. Was it something that brought the country down or a time we got to know each other around fire pits. No electricity meant WIFI was down and if you had a portable dongle it would struggle with connection because the towers would be either down or struggling themselves to cater. Fire pits were the best option. I grew up in Dobsonville, Soweto and in those days, Dover stoves were the in thing. Houses would start polluting around 15:00 because stoves were being readied for heating and cooking. We too had to do the same.    I have lost a TV set, a fridge and can see problems already with the replacements. It has taken longer for the current appliances because we learnt early or after replacements to get surge protectors. Now we double protect against Eskom. Whose Eskom, well google will still have a record of that gaint. I have had to replace my equipment and I am dreading the day ...

Scouting for a Pre Wedding Photo Shoot

Thinking of upgrading my DSLR I am thinking of upgrading. I visited a camera shop over the weekend and got to play with mirrorless camera's. I was thinking of taking one home but they are quite pricey. I am definitely looking hard at the new Sony camera. This is not a review of the three brands. I am just saying, Sony could be the one. I am worried though that I needed more time with Canon which I didn't have. Nikon would not allow me to. I have more glass for Nikon and I guess getting a new baby is not so bad. Beside's, what do they say about change...? "If you can't change it, change your attitude" Nope that does not sound like it. "To improve is to change....." more like it.
